The Lanterna of Genoa

The Lanterna of Genoa is the lighthouse of the port of Genoa, indispensable tool for nighttime navigation for ships coming and going to and from the port, and is the symbol of the city.

The building includes a tower of two square sections with a terrace at the top of each section. Built in its current form in 1543, it is also the third oldest lighthouse in the world still in operation.
